Moderator Code of Conduct
This Moderator Code of Conduct establishes the principles and standards that Moderators of [mmodev.tr] ("Forum") must adhere to while performing their duties within the Forum. Moderators are responsible for ensuring that the Forum remains a fair, safe, and respectful environment.
1. Fairness and Impartiality:
- Moderators must act fairly and impartially towards all users, and should not be influenced by personal opinions or prejudices.
- Discrimination against any user or group is not permitted.
- A consistent approach should be applied when dealing with rule violations.
2. Respect and Professionalism:
- Moderators must always use respectful, constructive, and professional language in their communication with users.
- Insults, personal attacks, or derogatory remarks should be avoided.
- In cases of disagreement, maintain calmness and focus on finding constructive solutions.
3. Privacy and Data Security:
- Moderators are obligated to protect the confidentiality of user information (e.g., email addresses, IP addresses) obtained during their duties. This information must not be shared with any person or entity outside the Forum.
- Private message content or information that should be kept confidential must absolutely not be disclosed.
4. Rule Enforcement:
- Moderators must fully and consistently apply the Forum's User Agreement and all other rules.
- In cases of rule violations, they must apply the necessary sanctions (warnings, penalty points, temporary/permanent bans) clearly and understandably.
- The reasons for decisions made should be clearly communicated to the user, if possible.
5. Transparency and Accountability:
- Moderators must inform the Forum administration about significant decisions they make and be accountable when necessary.
- Moderator privileges should not be used for personal gain or favoritism.
6. Avoidance of Personal Commentary:
- Moderators should avoid presenting their personal opinions as official Forum administration policy in moderation decisions or general Forum discussions.
7. Continuous Development:
- Moderators should stay updated on Forum rules and moderation techniques, participate in training when necessary, and contribute to the Forum's development.
8. Personal Posts:
- Moderators must adhere to Forum rules and this code of conduct even in their personal posts. They must ensure that they do not abuse their authority.
